Mode Merr was established by designer Angela Zampell in 1989 with the simple idea that women of all proportions and sizes deserve to look and feel amazing in their clothes. Mode Merr offers retro-inspired dresses and separates that celebrate, rather than camouflage, your curves. Mode Merr offers all of their body positive designs in sizes xxs-xxxl, as well as custom plus sizes.
When Angela began designing, she took inspiration from the clientele at her first job at Vintage Etc in Cambridge, MA. Since launching the website in 2000, Mode Merr has gained a loyal following of fashionable customers from around the globe which include burlesque performers, singers, actors, roller derby girls, working professionals, teachers, students, moms, pin ups, car club, rockabilly girls, goths and girls next door. Everyone can look and feel like a million bucks in Mode Merr’s curve flattering designs, made with top quality fabrics and thoughtful retro details.
Mode Merr is a small business that proudly produces collections in their Pawtucket, Rhode Island studio by a talented network of makers throughout New England.
